Balancing The Gut-Brain Connection For Optimal Health
As a London Naturopath and Nutritionist, I address gut, brain & autoimmune challenges through balancing the biochemical connection between the gut and brain function.
Just like many London Professionals I work with, I suffered from over a decade long-lasting chronic depression and anxiety.
I have had debilitating gut issues, brain fog, arthritic joint pain, food sensitivities, skin rashes, chronic sleep problems, gut infections including parasites, sudden weight loss, noise and EMF sensitivity, sinus problems caused by allergies, neck and back pain.
I also experienced burn-out, adrenal fatigue and symptoms of autoimmunity.
I was 26 years old when I finally had enough, and instead of taking pills I decided to take control of my own health and start healing my body and mind the natural way.
And with the help of naturopathic medicine, lifestyle changes, mind-body-soul techniques and of course the right nutrition approach within a year and a half I was able to overcome my chronic symptoms and transform my health.
But on this journey to self-healing I realised that is not enough to treat my symptoms with “natural medicine”, but the root causes - whether they are physical, emotional or mental - must be addressed.
So, I learnt about “leaky gut”, and how parasites, bacteria, viruses and environmental toxins can contribute to that. I learnt that not just gluten but "lectins" in foods could cause inflammation and trigger an autoimmune response. I learnt how emotional and mental stress can lead to physical symptoms and how traumas can prevent your body heal.
But most importantly, I learnt that there is an important biochemical link between the gut and the brain that can also be expressed as the "mind-body" connection, and that my mood imbalances, gut issues and other chronic symptoms were the result of a dysfunction on this axis.
I discovered that addressing the imbalance on this axis can bring healing and transformation not just to me, but anyone else looking to improve their health.
So, I channelled my knowledge and experience into my natural programmes and developed a step-by-step system to guide you along the way.
