Cooked Chicken Liver


  • 500 g chicken liver
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric,
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • coconut oil
  • water for cooking

Chicken liver


Wash the chicken liver from the blood. Place it in a pot with coconut oil and little water. Slice the bell pepper and add it to the pot too. Sautée until the chicken liver is soft. It takes around 30 mins. Keep adding water to the pot as needed. Once the liver is soft add the spices and cook 5-10 mins longer. You can serve it with quinoa, sweet potatoes, plantains or butter nut squash.
